Pocket Adventure

Pocket Adventure is a turn based RPG thats dynamic and fun to play. During every battle, players and enemies have to depend on a time bar to perform actions. Only when its their turn, player can either use potion, special attacks or amazingly designed ultimates. Players can also upgrade their armour to improve their health, additionally, new swords can be purchased. Each sword possesses a unique set of skills! The objective is to upgrade your equipment to the highest levels and kill the final boss!

Objective:

Design a combat system.

Problem Encounter:

Player wasn't clear when is his turn and giving an interval for player to press button can be boring to wait.

Solution:

Added timeline UI in battle and also make critical hit system which encourage player to hit the button at exact timing which impose challenge on player and also reward with higher satisfying damage.

Objective:

Game saving feature.

Problem Encounter:

Hard to encapsulate everything that have to be saved.

Solution:

We play through the game repeatedly to find data that we should save that is essential to player progression

Inventory slot and shops.

Problem Encounter:

Easy and accessible inventory for player

Solution:

Keep simple UI and instruction on what to press visible to player at all time
